INTERVIEW - SAVVAS CHRISTOU - INDIE HORROR DIRECTOR - CAPTIVE

 
A salute to everyone reading this interview. Today we'd like to introduce you to SAVVAS CHRISTOUS. He is from Cyprus, the passion for the arts came from very young thanks to the reflex he had from his family, in other words, the love art is from inheritance right. Graduated from Aristoteleio University in Thessaloniki in fine arts, later on decided to shoot short films with friends and hone his directorial skills. IN 2020 was premiered his first feature film, the psychological-horror-thriller CAPTIVE, also known as “KATHERINE’S LULLABY”. The story centers on a struggling teenager trying to escape from her abusive father and decide to do it with the help of her boyfriend wandering in the woods, in a moment they decide to split up, but she lose her boyfriend and in her search to find him finds a cabin to ask for him, an old man hello her and from that moment her nightmares starts.

The movie had a north america and worldwide release by Vertical Entertainment and  High Octane. SAVVAS in very open-minded manner chat with us about the origin of the story, teach us that from simple and casual moments the stories emerges on, gave us advice regarding pre-production, principal photography and post-production, even we talked about his experience reaching a distribution deal and the ups and downs he experienced while creating this movie.  If you are and eager indie filmmaker, please, scroll down and read this great interview with massive advice for you.

INTERVIEW - KOHL GLASS - INDIE HORROR DIRECTOR - BABYSITTER MUST DIE

A salute to everyone reading this interview. A couple months ago I was able to chat with KOHL GLASS, a talented director from Mesa, Arizona. On june 21 of this year was released on VOD paltforms his latest movie: BABYSITTER MUST DIE, distributed by Blue Fox Entertainment. A horror-thriller movie that has pinches of comedy in it. The story centers on a babysitter that must to defend the family hired her from some cultists, but she's not just any babysitter, she is the babysitter the cultists need to kill to succeed in their plans, but soon they find things won't go as easy as they planned before. The movie has received praise from critics and audience, for example www.heavenofhorror.com wrote: "...it reminded me quite a lot of movies like Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse or Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Both are movies I really love so this is a huge compliment.".

INTERVIEW - JAMISON LOCASCIO / ADAM AMBROSIO - INDIE HORROR FILMMAKERS - KNOW FEAR

A salute to everyone who enter into this blog and dig into the different interviews we have been posting every week or more, the main idea is that those beginning filmmakers could learn or catch certain idea up from people that have made a feature film, That's the core matter here, that's why I appreciate the time that each f the interviewee take to reply the questions I ask them, really, thank.

In this time I had the fortunate to talk with JAMISON LOCASCIO, a young promising filmmaker that already has three feature films and a bunch of short films over his back... A dedicate person, sure thing and his partner in action ADAM AMBROSIO, both, they have constructed a production company called FILM VALOR and together scope their future.  For the occasion we talked about their last project, the horror movie KNOW FEAR, a supernatural horror story, released out this year.

They took out some free time and gave me the best answers to my questions, I must give them the thanks again.

INTERVIEW - PATRICK REA - I AM LISA'S DIRECTOR - INDIE HORROR FILMMAKER

Hi Folks! I post today the enjoyable chat I had with PATRICK REA, indie filmmaker, with high talent to create mind-provoking horror stories with short resources but long ability, showcasing juggling capacities able to  adapt, create and surge horror films to the point tha stuck us in front of the screen enjoying a magnificent moment. We talked about I AM LISA, his latest horror film, a revenge supernatural story about a woman who after being knocked by the local sheriff and her underling and left almost dead in the woods, she decides to take down one by one but with a extra plus, a supernatural thing she bestowed by a werewolf. The film hitted on the market in Redbox in January on DVD and was released on March 16 in physical media. 

Patrick has over his shoulders horror films such as NAILBITER and ARBOR DEMON, Patrick told us his insight about his career so far, the suffered and overcomed challenges during the project creation, a amount of  priceless  information to any indie filmmaker. Fantastic duos in the history has existed from long times in real or fiction worlds, Batman and Robin, Shaq and Kobe or even Super Mario and Luigi, right? Complements that coexists and the result is a balance of powers that  converts their actions in almost ideal things. Well, this is what happens when Devon Downs and Kenny Gage decide to make a new film, this complementary duo one from California and the other from Chicago since they met decided to shoot their movies together and compiles their ideas in one, you know the said:you know as the expression says "two heads think better than one". From ANARCHY PARLOR to their recent film CYNTHIA both has shown a determined form to tell stories and a characteristic cinematic look, always getting the best from their resources.

I had the chance, big chance to talk with both of they (Before they get more famous and became more difficult talk to them haha) and they told me their thoughts, what they did to create ANARCHY PARLOR and CYNTHIA and advice to new filmmakers.
