SUMMARY-INFO: Split,
film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, there’s no a lot of words to say
about him, right? Oscar nominated by “The sixth sense”, also directed “The
Visit” and “Signs", inter alia. Producing by Shyamalan himself but also by two
well-known faces as Marc Bienstock (See no evil 2, The Visit, The Remaining) and Jason Blum (Insidious, Whiplash –
Nominated to Oscar, Ouija: Origin of Evil, etc). The casting members is
comprised by Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch: A New-England Folktale, Morgan) one
with the most breakthrough on last years, the principal and complicated role is
to James McAvoy (Atonement, Victor Frankenstein, X: First Class, etc), the
rest of the cast doesn’t have a prominent curriculum as their colleagues: Haley
Lu Richardson (Follow) she doesn’t have an extensive horror curriculum yet, Kim
Director (Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2) and at last, Jessica Sula. The
cinematography runs by Mike
Gioulakis (It Follows) a short film cinematographer, and the composer is West
Dylan Thordson (Joy).
EXPECTATION: What can you expect about a film directed by M. Night Shyamalan ah? That at the end what you expect were normal, weren't like that, that what supposed was up, really it was down, I don’t know, something like that. But taking out conclusions from the storyline, It's intriguing, a man with multiple personalities, not two or three but four, it represents an extremely artistic commitment by James McAvoy where if he do it awesome, would be a histrionic performance. In few words, I Expect the best for this movie, I hope doesn't disappoint me.
James McAvoy,
Anya Taylor-Joy
Haley Lu Richardson
Jessica Sula
