REVIEWS:
“There’s no doubt that Perkins has good intentions somewhere buried in his obtuse screenplay. Despite the eventual bloodletting, this isn’t a dumb slasher pic. It clearly wants a spot in the same neighbourhood of elevated genre classics such as The Shining”: www.theguardian.com

“February is at its best when it displays the girl in her possessed state; dark brooding beast at her side, but the voyage shared by both Kat and Joan through quiet, snow-fallen, desolate locations into the barren corners of their hearts is filled with ratcheting intensity”: www.dailydead.com

“As with so many of the best mystery-horror films, the optimum way to enjoy a first viewing of this is try to remain as ignorant as possible about what happens. That said, it also brims with tiny, blink-and-you'll-miss-them details that will repay repeat viewings”: www.hollywoodreporter.com

“The atmosphere constructed in this film is enveloped in darks so deep and winter so viscerally nefarious that my hot Chicago summer-viewing of it proved to be both timely and jarring”: www.filminquiry.com

“February isn’t a game-changer, nor is it going to cause horror fans to erupt in applause (probably why it’s not part of TIFF’s Midnight Madness program), but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s one of the best possession films ever. Fans of slow-burn horror are rewarded for their patience as what thaws out is going to shock the living Hell out of them”: bloody-disgusting.com

STORYLINE: Joan makes a determined pilgrimage across a frozen landscape toward a prestigious all girls prep school where Rose and Kat find themselves stranded after their parents mysteriously fail to retrieve them for winter break.
