‘ALIEN: COVENANT’ NEW POSTER IS REVEALED AND DATE RELEASE CHANGES

A Thanksgiving treat for “Alien” fans has arrived: the first poster for “Alien: Covenant.”
Twentieth Century Fox has also moved up the release date of the movie by three months to May 19 next year, from the previous date of  Aug. 4, 2017.

Director Ridley Scott, who helmed the original “Alien” along with 2012’s “Prometheus,” has said this installment in the “Alien” universe is going to be seriously scary — as indicated by its IMDb description as a horror movie, as well as the poster text: “Run.”

The new movie has crew members of the colony ship Covenant bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. Soon they discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
