IT FOLLOWS. 2015
film directed and written by David Robert Mitchell, the casting composed by
Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Olivia Luccardi, Lili Sepe, Daniel Zovatto. It is
a film which came alive thanks to the recurring nightmares that suffered David
Mitchell in the past, in which he was always stalked by a predator that walked
slowly towards him.

Monroe), which consists of being stalked by “it”, a kind of entity which can
adopts different persons appearances. It is there when "Jay Height's"
Journeys begins in order to try to discovers what is happening to her and how
to stops it in the company of her sister (Lili Sepe), friends (Olivia
Luccardi), (Keir Gilchrist) and neighbor (Daniel Zovatto) Discovering the only
way to transferring the curse is having sex.
WHAT I GOT IT
FROM THE MOVIE PLOT
The film doesn’t digs
deeper into the characters, it isn’t interested on empathy or charming that tormented
girl could gains from spectators. It focuses on a curse or kind of spell that
can only be transmitted or transfer through sexual encounters, it explores just
sporadically and randomly sex, only knowing that it’s necessary for give a break
to the protagonist and be able to think with more time. We also see the very repetitive
friend from childhood who is in love of the "cute” girl but she doesn’t
feel the same. At the end it is only possible to delays the situation but never
be able to escape from “it”.
WHAT I THINK
ABOUT THE MOVIE
IT FOLLOWS although
it doesn’t lighting in terms of a very striking and charismatic script, he
brought over the table a different species and not very usual ghostly entity
... one which can emulate any human appearance which it won’t only hunted you,
it will kill you and jumping to the next on the list. Pretty different from the
common, in addition to that sometimes slow step used gives a more desperate
touch very similar the one seen on "Michael Myers", which just
walking slowly catched and reached everyone ah! Anyway, the acting is correct
without any fusses, the only character working hard is the protagonist the rest
of the characters aren't have much interaction or only walks around.
Cinematographically speaking it’s good, it handles good shots and also the last
scene leaves open the comments.
WELL, AND
WHAT AM I SAY…?
I think you should
see it, personally I think it's better than many scratches and worn out horror
movies around there out which bring nothing to the genre. It has very goods
scary scenes, you don’t expect the dark and creepy face jumping over you after
a Preliminary scene announcing it to you.
