STORYLINE: Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin
brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save
money to help pay for her brother's expensive healthcare. But when strange
phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her
brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn't telling her everything and
soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.
EXPECTATION: Since that in 1974 the De Feo Family were
murdered by Ronald DeFeo and later in 1977 The Lutz Family they experienced
paranormal activities during 28 days. The Amytivile house has become in one
of the most popular scary stories among the film community. Because of that
many movies has been made telling that story. The first one made it was Stuart Rosenmber’s version in 1979
called it “The Amityville Horror “
just two years after the Lutz’s paranormal experiences, and also it is the most
highest-grossing with $86,432,000 in that time, now making it
an adjustment according the web: www.boxofficemojo.com, is around $296,485,900, pretty high ah!
And now the latest we expect is the Franck Khalfoun´s version Amityville:
The Awakening programmed to be released on January 6, 2017, June 30, 2017 starring by Bella Thorne (The DUFF), Cameron Monaghan (Vampire
Academy), Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time) and recently nominated
to an OSCAR for “ The Hateful Eight”,
Jennifer Jason Leigh and if you want
more, it is produced by Jason Blum (Paranormal activity, insidious, sinister, etc)
and Daniel Farrands (The Haunting in Connecticut, The Girl Next
Door) a well-made crew and we really hope this movie could had something
different and wouldn't tell us always the same plot, even though, the trailer it doesn't thrilled me a lot, but
I will see it with open arms.
